Ya'lllll, I've been reading Yaoi and Shounen Ai for over a centuary, and I think I caught onto something that kinda makes me sad...
Where I live theres this horrible stereotype that Asian men aren't great lovers (SUCH BS HONESTLY) but I've seen so many beautiful and manly Asians I- ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
But repeatedly, and I mean over and over again I find that in Yaoi with foreigners and asians...there's this misconception that the foreigner (usually American) is bigger, more beautiful, and manlier. MANLIER!? How the heck is a whole race of man manlier than another!?! And ALWAYS THE TOP. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ Don't get me wrong, I know Japanese/Korean men are beautiful but give them more credit! There also manly and fine as f**k! So help me, I must have read only 5 mangas where the foreigner is a bottom because every time I feel like these artist aren't giving their own men any merit.
I can't be the only one who has noticed this cliche ... Anyone else think this is just bizaare?
Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to ask the public is...know of any mangas/manhwas that go against this? Kudos if they are switch

totally agree!! The reason why this (probably) happens is because of the way society treats Asian men in media. They're seen as weaker, more awkward, and emasculated. Films - especially in Hollywood - created this atmosphere around them to make them look undesirable when compared to the White men. This - most likely - affected the way some manga artists and authors view their characters. It's very upsetting but with the increase of Asian representation in the film industry/media overall, people are beginning to overlook this false image and actually seeing Asian men for what they are. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
