the misunderstanding last really long but it's all worth it... First to understand is that FL had lived 2 lives and this is her third. In the first life his father gave the dagger to her because it was a relic, a relic to protect her and the father actually begged the prince to save her but she misunderstood. Now that aside, second to understand is that the duke, FL's father is being controlled time to time by the king because of a magical ring. Now third to understand is that the FL's mother is dead, she died because she was killed, now here comes the confusing part of the novel that took me a little reread to understand, and tbh I also don't know who killed her, if it was the duke or an "assassin" sent by the king but what I do know is that the duchess had a misunderstanding because of a miscommunication, while the duke was being controlled by the king the duchess thought that he was cheating on her thus became very depressed, then one day the duchess and the duke met then one thing led to another the FL saw her mom dead and bloody in her dad's arms, the FL became very scared and angry because she thinks that the duke killed her mom, so she always faints when she was a kid because of this, then the duke went to someone (i forgot his name, I forgot everyone's name, sorry) (and that someone is also a antagonist in the story)... The duke went to him and told him to erase her memories, then fast forward, the duke is very "neglecting" to our FL because he thinks he does not deserve her love and affection even though he sacrificed a lot for her. Moving on, in the "later part" of the story the duke 'regain' his memory from the first life in almost the same time FL regains her locked memories. When the duke regains/ see the memories in his first life he thought that it was a prophecy and he didn't want that to happened because he loves FL too much so he go to our FL and tells her everything including the ring part. Then to the final part they defeated every antagonist blah blah blah then Max (the prince) proposes the duke is very hesitant because tbh he does not want to let go of her princess but they do get married in the end.








A little fact,
The duke was only kind to the FL's ex because she really loved him

Def read the novel. I always read Light novels be it Chinese, Jap, or Korean. So far, TCF is the best light novel I’ve ever read. ORV being the second. There was never a boring chapter and I re-read it all the time and never got bored of it! It’s extremely detailed and you can see how much the author plans everything. Definitely a god-tier L/N!

They are in high school. It’s a private boarding school that’s why it has a dormitory. Just accept that the characters are in highschool. There is no use deceiving yourself. It is what it is.

in manga it is said that it’s in college but they still call it mori high. i’m just wondering if they are all underage why it’s still being sold. i’m pretty sure it’s illegal to sell translated manga that has underage characters doing sexual things in most english speaking countries.

I just recent found out that the schools thing is a bit tricky because some students can go from junior high to a technical college. I’m not really knowledgeable about Japan’s educational system. But MCs in yaribu are supposed to be 16 years old and Mori high is supposed to be a private academy whose students are elite and engaged in advance classes (but the irony is they dont look elite nor proper). Maybe they are a specialized school? I never really thought deeply abt this. I just thought they were highschool students because of the age and how they call their school plus the environment they are in. I forgot that japan’s system is actually confusing, at least for me.

As to the illegality of underage doing sexual stuff. I’m not sure how it got licensed if that is so as well as the other high school BL which includes the same things. There is an english license for yaribu by sublime.

Maybe it’s on sensei’s part that’s the cause? Because this is just supposed to be some random thing she thought and made a manga of that’s why things are confusing. But there are really schools in mangas that are similar to this, like Teijou Academy for example. To my knowledge, usually they are supposed to spend 3 years in highschool before they go to college. We’ll never know until sensei decides to update their profiles. The previous profile was just full of useless things XD
