love Compton so much now, his story is so tragic. him and Garam being character foils of each other through their relationship with Heejae Compton as the first student to ever experience Heejaes knife and Garam as the last one and the one to dull his sharp blade even by a lil bit and how it affects them as individual characters. Plus it’s not like Heejae favouring Garam is a new thing that only started when they started dating, it’s been a thing since the very beginning either, so from the very start of their relationship with Heejae, Compton and Garam were never in the same playing field and the end of the chapter amplify that for me

Also it’s very realistic that Heejae is still winning in life despite all the abuse he’s ditched out on people simply bc of his influence and talent

I’m lwk scared that fame and Heejae are changing Garam love for music in the worst way possible like he can’t appreciate music unless there’s a piano involved or him / Heejae are directly involved. Scary thoughts in the mist of romance

In true Heejae fashion he stays true to his convictions then crashes out later at least he considered the pros and cons this time around which is more than he would have given us in the past. Garam is acting like he’s being held at gun point every time he hangs out with Compton isn’t lwk funny

This song is wayy too important to Heejae for him to miss it and the fact he’s even debating abt it and his music shows how much he grew as a character and love Garam. I’m so proud of him lol

This chapter gave me the heebie-jeebies Garam needs to get out of there ASAP. He needs to tell them he’s having indigestion and leave that dinner table

Compton reminds me of the oldest child/ daughter of an household. Maybe it’s the fact that he’s the oldest amongst them but also was Heejae first student. Something I noticed is that almost all of them inherited a habit resembling Heejae, Gaham with that one angry outburst, Walter with his lack of personal space and the outburst he had, Choi with her total indifference ; and Compton resembling him the most. It’s like being your parents’ first time parenting. You truly get the worst version of them.
I think even with his hatred and resentment, a part of him still wants Heejae approval. Especially since Heejae doesn’t think of him as someone worth wasting his breath on, not even as a failure cause he quit the piano and I think that plays in part with his need to get Gaham to hate him this much. As much as he tries to deny it, it’s so obvious that Heejae is a lot softer than he used to be, and that rots him from the inside out. I don’t really know how to explain it, but that’s the feeling that he gave me ever since he was introduced. He will always be his father’s oldest daughter
