it's very cute, but i feel like so much was set up that they didn't do much with and just ended up having sex instead. Like the whole he needed the scholarship - but then he didn't. Js not feeling happy about getting first and thinking about that for like half a second when it could've been very introspective. All the bullying... like he had panic attacks and was scared and it never really was resolved imo... like sure he got a little more confident, but just a little fewer sex scenes could've given way to more character development and interaction :')
i guess i just expected to wallow in angst and connect with the characters mores since i felt like that's how it was set up.
Honestly i agree, the constant sex made it nearly impossible to really get into knowing the characters themselves and the rest of their lives.

as an artist who's seen some ai comics before - guys ai is rly fucking good now and if the author can draw themselves it's basically impossible to tell - but this just has some ai comic vibes - the inconsistent way ears are drawn and some of the anatomical mistakes idk...
like it angers me when i think of all the authors who have to take health breaks to keep up and then you have someone just use ai... also as an artist it's just painful to see.

please checkout the authors twitter for the most convincing proof, i think they draws the scenes and run it through ai to color and polish.
they have artwork from 22 which is gorgeous but the ears and style is different, but in a way that this comic feels like a downgrade, she also has sketches up where the ears look very normal and rendered pieces where the ears look like they're doubled up.

it looks different in other panels and very anatomically incorrect in a way that an artist wouldn't do it? idk how to explain but this is a really unnatural way and a human would normally draw the earhole not a second ear if they found ears hard

This isn’t AI lol. The art style is consistent. The ears are drawn the same throughout the entire comic, just details are either added or omitted. Claiming this has AI art with no basis is absolute nonsense and helps no one, and only proves to companies that people can’t tell the difference between AI and non AI art.
it is ai assisted, the ears are not that consistent, you say no proof but what kind of proof would you even accept? ai art is already pretty fucking hard to tell nowadays, specially if it's wielded by an already skilled artist like the author. i find no joy in pointing this ai thing out, i liked the story and even the art, i am just telling it to ppl who care not to consume slop like i do.
even on her twitter if you ho back characters have weird double ears? it's bizarre and if tou go back further you see she used to do very proper nice ears their @ is ohnoru_ iirc
it is your choice whether you want to consume ai slop or not, sure us reading here does not benefit the artist, but it's still good to at least know what you consume.

I can’t tell you if they use ai or not, but I looked further into their twitter and I notice that they draw ears differently based on perspective, and everytime the ears are “doubled” they are facing forward. In the images where the characters face forward, the ears look almost identical and as an artist, I think they may just be drawing the middle ear crease really large
the ears still look kinda doubled from the side too, but i think it's very uncanny
I think the reason why it's hard to tell if it's ai or not is bc ai is only used for polishing and the author can draw really well and does the base by hand

there is a post from march 2023 that has the "double ears" and no other signs of IA, even though AI at that time wasn't good at making anything from pupils to hands. it does seem like this is a style choice at the very least

ML may be a little obsessive, but I think we all knew that from the get go.
I think the you can't escape me works in this case, bc MC wants to runaway bc he feels like a burden and he is sorry. He is not scared of the ML. We've yet to see, but while Shin has super obsessive thoughts he doesn't tries to not act on them - he held back for example when he went to get mc from his apartment, he also didn't go straight to him in the hospital.

And red head apparently became braindead bc he fell off the balcony while running away. Seeing how unwell Yeonwoo is I'm not sorry for him either.
I think the disconnect comes from us not being able to see his thought process and him being a little thight-lipped this last chapter.
The machine translation is tragic, hope we either get officials or the original translator comes back, were missing out on so much context.
What I love about the og novel is the MC's and ML's general physical closeness, kinda like this last chapter, hope we get them all drawn.
I didn't expect this comic to be this deep, the character's trauma to be so complex, it's such a nice surprise
