But he's the best of his profession and makes top quality items, I think he deserves recognition as an S Class, even if it's non-combat. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
The forge skill is SS-rank and They didn't explicitly say that his rank changed but in chapter 44 they mentioned that his stats are now C- rank.

While I understand feeling bad for the injustice he is facing, I can’t help but remember how easily him and his family wished for his sister to sacrifice herself for their gain and happiness. Therefore, while I wish Astana was the one suffering for his crimes, I also see the fate of Bellezac and his mother to be suffering for the “happiness” (in this case taking the fall) of Astana and the queen, something they had no problem inflicting on others if the roles were reversed.
He & his families were so ready/excited to sacrifice others weaker than themselves (e.g., his own sister) for their own selfish benefits that, honestly, he kinda got his karma served now that someone else more powerful than his family are using them as scapegoats this time for their own good. They're each other's karma.
