I can say that I like this arc more from the og, not that I don't like Bianca stories but, Cyril as a Saint and the action wise in the stories really impactful. They keep you wanting more from their story either from Cyril part or Alex part, they really kept me wanting more of their stories, and im glad Zachary and Bianca still alive even the other og character from the og Marriage of Convenience in this story even though this arc focused on Cyril and Alex, glad seeing them doing well.
I think this is a case like light and shadows, where the original story was good, but genuinely left an excellent setting ready with many good characters established. Many stories make boring characters by giving them some trait and turning them into Jane/jon doe boring, ie everyone gets a redemption arc. Hugh never died, so he can still be a villain here, Eva never got her satisfying end, but she might here, they didn’t auto promote Zachary to emperor somehow so Bianca could be empress, leaving no political challenges left in their way. By not giving them the perfect ending and leaving them all a little flawed or unsatisfied, but avoiding disaster, the sequel was well set up.
My only complaint is that the author did some weird gymnastics with the poor royal family line almost all dying in order to make the ML kinda the right age to be a love interest of Alexandria. Other than that the author left a lot of good and interesting character pieces on the board who had their own motivations and goals.
And also they make Alex much more older than Cyril, but he got 2 body now the one with his og body and the one with his body from the future, I'm curious how the author will navigate between his two body, which body will he end up with, the younger past one one or the future one and what would happen to the one that he didn't end up with, will it disappears or just laying there, thats also become my question when i saw how he got 2 body.
But i don't think Zachary would be the emperor though cause i think he wouldn't want to leave arno duchy, but i do think he will be Cyril strongest political support in pushing him became the emperor cause that is one thing that Cyril didn't have in his past life strong and stable political support, also with his current power i think he would learn how to navigate the political system by them time he ascend the throne, with Bianca in Lahoz keeping his og body company and protecting him i guess he would be in better position from the past since he knew the future now.
You know I'm kind of feel pity for duke escra by how cami treating him, yeas he is neglectful of his sons but when he was living with Ravi and their mom he is kinda not himself cause he lost his memories and kinda swap his personality 360 degree and when he was found by the duchy people he also lost his memories again about his life when living with Ravi and Camilla mom's and kinda turn back to the cold blooded duke again without having those warm memories, so it's kinda understandable if he treat all his kid the same. About him taking interests in Camilla is somewhat change his behaviors towards his kid 10 percent i guess.
Well about duke sorphel, he kinda change his behaviors after Camilla show her usefulness when the mystical beast was found and keen on Camilla, but before that he toi is like duke Escra about neglecting her and let the household bully's Camilla, after she has her usefulness that duke Sorphel chang his behaviors.
But Camilla only treat duke Sorphel nicely but didn't give duke escra a chance to know her.
Yeah, dad who lost his memories and didn't even know her mom was pregnant before the memory loss is way less offending than dad whi ordered her execution multiple lifetimes. I'm still side-eyeing the other guy for how they neglected Dive though.
Well I'm not justifying his actions on neglecting Dive though, but if we think about it, that's how he always been even before he meet Camilla's mom though, he just became a different person because he was injured and lost his memories when he met Camilla's mom, it's like that was never him in the first place and when he was found by his assistant he was injured again and somehow he lost that piece of memories when he's with Camilla's mom and return to how he was before and at that Dive's is not born yet but he take Khan (his dead assistant son) as his adopted son cause he feel gratitude and sorry he cause Khan to lost his parent.
he not only was neglecting dive but clearly has favouritism with carmilla, like he only noticed bcs carmilla took action. and ppl seems to be forgetting that nobody can actually love her bcs of the swapped soul things
Not to be that person but duke sorphel never hated camilla (old or current). The swapped souls is the reason why they both experienced hardship. Also, old camilla was executed for murder, dont remember whether she did it or not, but that was how she was perceived and its a valid reason for execution.
But both duke sorphel & the brother was shown to like her before she made any contributions. There were hints like “she’s never done this before” “she’s never smiled at me before” and taking advantage of the change. It seems like they were waiting for her to open up to them. Old camilla wasn’t exactly mature and was shown to be gullible which caused her to get into trouble multiple times. Ppl seem to forget that old camilla even hated on lila (? The blonde hair girl) even though she didnt do anything wrong & was the only person to be nice to her

The teach feel guilty for not stopping the student who want to enjoy her time outside school hour with her bf from a problematic school, that cause her to be injured for life because some student from the guy school. Since when does teacher should be responsible for the student outside school hour ? Shouldn't that fall on the parents responsibility. Pushing their own responsibility to the teacher that should have her own life outside her work hour to monitor their child, what if Toki sensei never knew about the outing and the girls relationship who would the parent put the blame on, I bet the father would still be blaming the school cause the school couldn't was next to problematic school and also said they couldn't protect the student from meeting and being at odds with one another.
And I think Toki sensei trauma was the cause of having to close with the students and she really did open up to that girl that has cause her feel somewhat grateful to that girl cause she did make stern looking Toki sensei seem bit approachable and Toki sensei seem accepting her. And when the girl share the news she was dating and going to enjoy the festive with that boy Toki sensei also seem disagree with that but she trust the girl judgment cause I know she think she shouldn't judge by the cover( chidori school) that is why she didn't prevent her to strictly, but since she new about the outings and also who the girls with she was blame and been told that the girl was injured for life, so that is why she feel traumatized and feel guilty for not being strict on preventing the girl from the outing even tho she too didn't like student from the chidori high in the first place .
But I still blame the parents, cause the accident happen outside school hour, no teacher should feel responsible for the student outside school hour accept when the student were under the teacher supervision.
The dad was looking for someone to blame (while shirking his own duty) and the teacher was the nearest scapegoat. Had the girl ended up hurting herself at home, I bet he would still blame the school.
I honestly find the “teachers being responsible for students’ well-being outside of school” aspect very stupid but it is obviously not limited to just Japan.
