when did yoonsung’s memories came back? was it when he read the journal when they got back from his grandfather’s lodge? but i thought he threw it away together with the ring right after? if he knew it was for nakyung why did he threw it? was it for the same reason the he’s scared if he knew his memories came back he’d disappear?? i wish we got more pov with that scene and how was his thought process after while he was with nakyung
overall love the yearning love the slowburn and the story,, i cried so much wish we had extras where they talked about their past with the chairman more in the end
nakyung also said that it seemed important so he must’ve cared a lot about the ring too,, tho i guess when they talked about it again on the elevator it seemed yoonsung doesn’t care anymore about the past and js wanted to stay with him right then and now
honestly they should’ve talked more bc when the reveal that he had his memories back all along it was so anti-climactic they js glossed it over when it was the reason the slow burn happened
reread the first story and it felt like takeo only had a crush on ao, tho i think he was more or less aware of it since he never explicitly said it. what really stuck with him most was that moment when he had the realization that same-sex relationships are fine. i mean, he did say at first that he never liked guys, so when he felt envious of ao’s bf, nagata, he realized that he could like guys too
but come on, even here he has yet to realize how scary and anxiety-inducing it must be for waka to realize his straight friend, whom he had loved for years, suddenly says he might be fine with dating guys too. waka’s probably constantly wondering if he’s enough or if takeo’s feelings are just fleeting. the least takeo could do is give him some reassurance and not push him too much.
if this was longer, takeo’s character could’ve been fleshed out more. i would’ve loved to see how his feelings for waka continued to develop throughout college and how he gradually came to understand waka’s fears and insecurities better
the people yearn for a sub top!

can some of y’all stop pushing your own standards onto queer media? especially when the characters grew up in a conservative environment. mc wasn’t accepted by his own parents, and before he could even reconcile with them, they DIED
he’s carrying that grief while suddenly becoming the guardian of his nephew. do you seriously think he’d be in the right state of mind to navigate work, raising a child, and a relationship all at once??? despite everything, he did his best to make sure tsumu was fed, clean, loved, and cared for. that’s why i’m grateful ml came into his life and helped ease some of that burden
his anxiety was also completely VALID. he was protecting ml from the prejudice that comes with dating another man. since ml was straight, it scares mc to think “what if ml eventually realized he wanted the life he is a a conventional family?”
and the whole reo situation— mc wasn’t considering living with reo because he liked him more than ml. reo was another single father, from mc’s perspective, two single dads helping each other raise their kids would be seen as a practical arrangement that SOCIETY could accept much more easily please
