Like maaaaaybe if Paula freaked at her to keep it a secret she might, but I don’t think she’d keep it a secret for more than a couple days or a week max.

Yes, Juhyeok was born as an omega because of his own genes and increased exposure to alpha pheromones which includes Suah and his family but Suah DIDNT change Juhyeok into an omega. They just were best friends when they were young and being around each other had made them be exposed to each other’s pheromones unconsciously. They BOTH had unexpectedly presented as opposite sub genders than the rest of their families, which was likely influenced by them spending too much time together when they were younger. Y’all keep forgetting that Suah started scenting Juhyeok when he presented as an omega. He didn’t scent him since birth to turn him into an omega.
Like y’all be overexaggerating the lengths/intentions of evil with this man . Was it right for Suah to scent Juhyeok without his consent?? Absolutely not!! But he didn’t do it so that he could SA him, he did it bc he didn’t know how else to protect the MC (Bc the MC still doesn’t accept that he’s an omega, is negligent with his suppressants, doesn’t wear a choker, and is in an alpha dominated field so it makes the ML worry). Does it make it right?? Absolutely not, but this is the beginning of the story and their dynamic so why don’t we give them time to grow. Both are immature and unable to accept their own situations so it’s making their dynamic harsh in the beginning but they definitely will soften over time. Juhyeok also has been hating Suah primarily because he’s a representation of something he’ll never be but always dreamed of (which is being an alpha). Yes he also hates him because of the scenting but Juhyeok is mainly struggling with accepting himself as an omega and often rejects Suah bc he doesn’t want their dynamic to remind himself and everyone around them of his sub gender (bc to him it’s a limitation). The parents weren’t negligent to let Juhyeok be around him bc he never scented him at that point (when the party happened).

Chapter 1, the scene when he’s with his mom, talking to the doc about having awakened as an omega. The mom says “DIDN'T YOU SAY HE WAS AN ALPHA IN HIS
PRE-SCREENING?!” And then she proceeds to say how everyone in the family is an alpha.
Since it was mentioned: Suah, family situation hasn’t been commented at all in terms of they’ve always been omegas and he is the only alpha or anything similar to the omega’s family situation. We’ll probably learn more about his family situation in the later chapters.
Also, to refocus how this thread has gotten misinterpreted: The original comment was fully blaming the parents for failing to parent. Was forcing the omega manifestation on purpose? Probably not; Suah was in elementary school. That’s also the only maybe grace I’ll give the parents (depends on how common of an even that is - parents should know the risks). My issue is how they’ve allowed Suah’s behavior to continue YEARS later (because they are now at least high school or college age now - can’t remember, but it’s been a LONG time).
Omega’s distaste for the alpha is VERY apparent in both private and public settings. Clearly he doesn’t have any good friends since no one on the team is helping him out and his family doesn’t seem to care about what he wants AT ALL.
Alpha also admitted to starting the scenting when he started the martial art (which sounds like that was when they were getting older already), so that’s a mark against him and his family.
All parents in omegaverse should know the dangers that children who manifest face. Being able to control their pheromones is PARAMOUNT to maximize their and others’ safety and they should’ve kept any alphas away if they showed tendencies to shower and omega kid (unconscious or not).
Ch 1 - the mom pointed out that he tested as an alpha in the pre screening before going into the family history of everyone being alphas. Also don’t miss the main point of my comment berating the parents for being negligent and allowing their kid to be harassed by someone he doesn’t like, which has now resulted in him being old enough that he should know how to control his pheromones, but physically cannot. Their negligence allowed the alpha to prevent the omega from developing this crucial life skill that that is directly related to his safety. The parents have failed to parent and now their son is at a higher risk of danger. This isn’t the case of an omega that has abnormally strong/unruly pheromones. And if it turns into that, they should’ve found that out sooner so that could protect their son.

Please read the longer comment I made on this thread, but to specifically address your argument that the parents weren’t negligent: I already gave an example of the mom doing the opposite of what her child expressed with the party & the now grown-enough-to-know-better alpha is CURRENTLY harassing and stalking with no one helping the omega. Had non of the parents talked to the alpha when he was a kid to explain to him that his friend will need time and the right thing for him to do would be to give him space???
Failure to teach children, acting like they’ll get over something on their own (when they clearly haven’t and it’s been YEARS), and not thinking of the best ways to help them through tough times FOR THE KID (aka not throwing a party with a bunch of strangers that the kid has now met with the preface of ‘they know the secret I didn’t want anyone to know’) IS NEGLIGENCE. Negligence = ignoring/not caring, and that’s all I’ve been seeing from the parental interactions we’ve been shown so far. Sure, the mom needed help from others on how to raise an omega. She could talk with them on her own over coffee instead of traumatizing her child.
