Like this has gotten bad enough that the alpha has damaged the omega’s ability to control his own pheromones??? Omega has major complexes and insecurities that have only gotten worse with everyone ignoring how he feels, Alpha is deranged and being enabled by all the adults who apparently aren’t doing anything to stop him, and none of the parents are showing any brain cells about how to be a parent.
Kid says he doesn’t want anyone to know he’s an omega now + parent doesn’t know about raising an omega =? Throw a party with a bunch of stranger omegas???? How the hell does that make any sense?? That’s when you let the kid cry in his room and talk with omegas on your own time WITHOUT the kid, and then relay what you learn to him when it’s just the two of you.
And why is the alpha’s parent(s) not stopping their kid from stalking the kid who clearly sees them as the person that ruined their life??
Got through Ch. 4 and I’m definetly interested, but the translations are off enough that it’s making it tough to read and I can’t get a good handle on the mc’s thoughts. Will definitely come back to this if better or official translations come out tho.
Rape, rape, actually ok (they only made out while drunk & the rest was consensual - happy he didn’t turn out to be an asshole), blackmail & rape (her being messed up at the end just felt like an excuse for it - it was still rape), drunkenly questionable that looks like it’ll turn into rape by a psycho that’ll use being in a relationship as an excuse
Sexy af but the translation is a hot mess.. still a solid 4/5 tho (would’ve gotten 5 if I could actually follow the plot/their backstories better potentially)
translation is a bit messy but easy to read past. The MC seems to sorta flip flop between being physically strong or not, but they’re consistent with the initial flaw of her having good quick judgement, but bad long term thinking when under stress (like she didn’t have to stab the guard if she was going to the dungeons anyway).
Interesting enough to continue reading, but I suspect this might be a slower story. Either that or a shorter one maybe. Can already tell this is gonna end with her marrying Bently (is that the silver haired royalty adjacent main dude?) and they’ll become the king and queen. Since like… EVERYONE seems to be in cahoots with ruining her/his family apparently.
The current one up is the same as ch. 3, so it makes ch. 5 sort of weird to follow since she said in the letter that she couldn’t leave the house and all of a sudden she’s outside the house.. Something was explained in Ch 4 that’s now missing to bridge these eps.
Really good pacing and plot development. I’m bittersweet about the author not being afraid to kill off chars (potentially?), but ultimately happy since it helps story wise (I just get sad when you see that an author is scared of offing anyone that might be a popular char, even if it would help with char development) and might be necessary to give their hate some extra motivation. He may be their father, be he ain’t their daddy!
Ok, so the world building is pretty decent here. Art is good, costumes are nice, but not overdone. Plot takes a whiiiiiiile to flesh out and get to a part where the chars that were making you go ‘wtf?!’ stop doing that.
So you’ll need to get close to ch 50 to start approving on the ml. I’m proud of the fl for standing her ground until everything came out in the open and I respect her decision from there so far (SO glad she got her loving family to show her how healthy love is supposed to feel - and that she deserves it!). ML has actually been LEARNING from his mistakes and I’m proud of him doing a 180 away from his obsessive path. I love the comedic relief in the high priest trying not to eff up this time around. Fake saintess lady doesn’t stop being selfish and I’m pissed at how she used her guiding to coerce the prince into being an idiot. Like it even messed with his feelings T-T. Reason I feel bad for him is because he actually proves to be a proper member of royalty (a leader), once information is revealed to him (this also just takes forever to finally happen).
Reason for why everything takes so long to happen? My guess is that there was a lot of world building and explaining of the Korea past vs the book that turned out to be complete fiction vs the real past of the other dimension (Stern? I’m forgetting names again) that needed to happen, so everything just took a while to get through so that we’d get to a point where people would realize what’s going on.
Personally, I don’t like the guide/esper genre since it feels very rapey, with sexual things being required in order to save someone’s life if they’re far gone enough. Also makes it VERY hard to tell if the guides even actually get a say in it in most series I’ve begun reading with it - maybe even the espers since it looks like the guiding is like a drug for them so they can’t think straight, but the guides just have to hope they get turned on enough to enjoy it too? Regardless, I’m actually enjoying this since it seems to be getting handled ok (minus how in the past Korea time, he was totes fine with doing her while treating her like nothing while she was getting empty sex with the guy she wished would love her - I’m glad he’s doing better now)
TL/DR: I’m enjoying this a lot since it’s a bit different, but has character growth (even if not everyone gets the growth). It’s takes quite a while (like 40 - 50 chapters) to get to where people know enough to be making sensible decisions, but it’s worth it when you start seeing the changes. Personally, I don’t like the guide/esper genre, but I like this.

So, the FL is a modern Korean woman who's been in the workforce for a few years and is pretty smart, is what I’ve gathered. She was able to realize early on that the family is VERY powerful and even rivals the power of the imperial family - potentially even trumping them (since she can still win an argument with them in public - the imperials don’t just auto win). She ALSO found out kinda early ish that the original chick forced the engagement to go through. This is where I start getting annoyed by her. To her knowledge from the story, the prince NEVER liked the original chick. Now that she found out that the engagement was also forced on him by said chick, why on earth would she be pissed at him for cheating? She has 0 experience or knowledge of this dude showing affection toward her or the original. PLUS she is smart enough to know the power of the house vs the imperials. Why on earth does she want to take revenge on him (all arguments with him stem from him being forced into marriage)? And to get the crown taken from him? For cheating? I thought this woman was smart. That’s what her character was portrayed as when we started this ride and it’s what they keep showing with her business acumen, people skills, and overall foresight. She’s not a teen doped up on hormones unable to control her anger (as she’s proven she can keep calm in infuriating circumstances dispute being mad, MULTIPLE times now). Why does she want to take revenge on him as if she’s actually a woman scorned??
Yes, WE as readers now know that there is a whole lot more to this story: the queen obviously taught her messed up stuff and emotionally damaged her, that made her do some major mental damage to the prince in turn (this spreading of the trauma was shown through the prince having nightmares), and apparently they DID love eachother in the beginning of it all (this was also shown as the prince’s memories, not the FL’s). But the FL still doesn’t know any of this (I suspect she needs more memories to figure it out, since she hasn’t indicated that the webtoon said anything about it). Hence why I’m pissed about her char at this point.
Otherwise, this is an alright fluff piece (I read toxic stuff sometimes so this is pretty light for me so far - could get more intense with the mental issues tho)
TL/DR: FL char writing is broken & prince getting his crown taken for revenge makes no sense - could’ve been approached differently. Otherwise, story seems ok as a fluff piece. Tired from the FL nonsense, so will read the rest later.
Felt like the beach arc was taking a while, but I’m happy with how that’s ending now. Also folks complaining about Eve not growing up yet: it hasn’t been that long that they’ve been together yet. Like 1 month that we know of for sure and maybe another one for all the other traveling. I’ll add another as a buffer for the sake of it. I think he’ll probably grow up closer to meeting the hero tho due to necessity or he might just be growing over time naturally since there hasn’t been a catalyst for the growth yet. I’ll say I’m VERY happy that Kiri didn’t end up needing to accept the goddesses words to res the dude (essentially giving up his life). I hope he ends up being ridiculously good at medical science and ends up being better with healing magic from having a better understanding of how the body itself works (although Gozu can probably only help with basics of that field).

Read through season 1 and was SUPREMELY let down that they didn’t go the versatile route with this couple when it looked like they were about to (as per usual, the top just one sidedly changed the trajectory - I’m just miffed cuz they even said that they would switch that time). Do they actually ever switch positions? The art and story isn’t to my preferences enough for me to stick around if they don’t.
Plot has great pacing and stays interesting. Nice artwork and SO happy they haven’t done harem stuff or gotten cringy subplots going on. The anticipation for BL is enticing but not stuck in your face constantly (I’d personally love for it to go that way, but it probably won’t).
I’m HEAVILY tempted to read the novel of this just based off of my staying intrigued enough to binge this much of it without hitting any slow spots. I was lamenting catching up fully when I hit 200 earlier today since this has been mega enticing.
Interesting to have a zombie apocalypse story where humanity does get a cure and bounce back. And the couple matches pretty well too. Had a bit of non con vibes with the first time (dude never really said yes after saying he didn’t want to do it with a psycho), but they still stuck with eachother and everything after seemed consensual. I just wish we got one last spicey scene post cure. T-T
Dropped at ch 5 - how the hell does someone not know that their ex who mothered their son isn’t getting alimony?! Not to mention being a $h*tty dad to their kid who’s trying to communicate. And wtf does this author think programming even is??? Did they not even bother to do basic research on how that field works? It’s not some superpower and you’d always test your code regardless of confidence level or proficiency in a language. Especially when making a big project like a game.
Ch 71 is laced with another comic named Leviathan (sp?). Please someone fix this - it was a huge pain to read through especially since the other comic happened to be an action packed chapter T-T
Otherwise, I just read 100 and I’m SO glad for the direction everything has gone in. And LOL that emperor was really delusional about his own strength. Like he was the weakest manifestation of the power of death (mentioned in way earlier chapters), but he was acting as if he could just use it all Willy Nilly at the end there XD
The love is finally blooming, but there’s still trauma to unpack for both our eggies.
I’m on Ch. 31 now and this plot hole is bothering me: So in the scene where the rest of the meat for the banquet spoiled, the prince shows up behind her and her though bubble says ‘this voice’ indicating that she can tell the prince’s voice apart from others. And now that she sees him again in the market (first time interacting with his non Prince attire after the meat scene - plus she’s had a lot more time conversing with him now with the fire and all), she’s having a conversation with him and can’t tell that it’s him? I like the story a lot, but just feel that this is a pretty bad plot hole to have. Is it the translation maybe? Was it supposed to be ‘this presence’ or something? Sorry, it’s just easy for me to get caught up in things like these with slow burn stories since I expect them to have more careful planning for the long term. I’d appreciate any insight on this. :)
Got through Ch. 4 (official translations) and dropping. Sunbae literally knows the dude was drunk enough to be passing out. Dude said he didn’t want to do it MULTIPLE times (even gave him a reason when he didn’t need to - no is no) and he was rubbing his dick on his hole AS HE WAS SAYING NO. Dude even threw up during it and he has the gall to say it was good when the dude literally said he wanted his first time to be with someone he liked which implies he wanted it to be good for himself as well - there’s no effing way it was good for him when he’s nauseous (either from the rape or drinking). Why the f*ck is he hugging him at school and once again pressuring him into becoming a sex parter as the dude is saying no??? And why couldn't his noona conclude that he was raped?? My only possible defense for noona is that maybe he didn’t relay his refusal to her as he was telling her what happened. Sunbae has 0 excuse though and should be in jail.
Like I’m fine with chars that sleep around as long as they are open/up front about it AND GET CONSENT (like how is this even something I should need to voice as a requirement). Hate this crap where they act they’re still an ok human being after being a f*cking scumbag.
Also I saw comments explaining how Minwoo becomes toxic later and saying the Omega dude needs to be confront the mishaps and face the problem head on. I’m not surprised it sounds like things get messy later, but just remember that even his noona had to try and get him to not try to avoid the sunbae since literally all his life people were telling him to run away and avoid things, so it makes sense if he’s avoiding confrontation again (not saying he doesn’t need to confront the issue, just reminding folks to remember a part of his personality that was established early in the story along with the reason given for why).
