Also, I kind of understand what you're saying, nowadays, in most webtoons, something outrageous has to happen in the starting chapters to incite any/some kind of reaction. Later on, it gets completely wholesome.. I believe the same thing happened with Punch Drunk Love, where the MC initially blackmailed ML using his sexuality, WILD, I KNOW.. now, it' the most wholesome shit ? But that author tied it up well..

shutline creator accused flashlight creator of plagiarism, saying the characters design (aaron and yujin) are very similar to jake and shingun bc they both use the same character dynamics and archetypes. flashlight creator modified the character design of aaron and yujin. that’s all i know
