Setting: Humans live underground in facilities divided into various levels. Access to various levels are restricted as per your id card. for some reason going above ground is forbidden. If you are somehow able to reach the top surface, there are soldiers with gun, so we will shoot you dead. Could also be a very dystopian setting where the unwanted people are thrown underground, and only those who are worthy are allowed Above ground because I cannot remember anything apocalyptic happening above ground.
Shou is either someone who was newly indicted or someone who has never been above ground aka someone born underground - a unique identity. he is looking for something in the above levels for which he needs card with higher access. He also seems to want to go above ground
According to the ID level, people have to clear certain life threatening exams/test in arena surrounded by glass windows. The first time Shou participates in such a test, the Gong who is from an elite group is looking at him from the windows and he leaves quickly. the test had something to do with a monster like entity, which had vines. They were given a time limit before which they had to defeat the monster, otherwise, they will all die. Either before the fight or after the fight, the Shou tries to steal an access card from the group of elite people and he is caught, but then he let go.
The Shou is able to somehow able to reach above levels via an access card that he stole from the Gong somehow maybe. There was a long chasing sequence where the guards were chasing him from different corners, and he was running from one corridor to another. Finally, he reached a type of door, which he couldn’t unlock using the access card that he stole from the Gong. he is forced to hide, but is caught again. He is confused like what gave his position away, and when the Gong confronts him like okay this the access card has locationing chip on, so I could find you.
Then the Gong takes him to his floor. I don’t remember exactly what the Shou was trying to achieve. maybe he was trying to reach above ground and the Gong is one of the people who is against that who is preventing it.

They're all underground, the shou is there to look for something. The top is from the group of people who are lelite. And there are floors, and hierarchy of sorts. There were levels life threatening tests that different people participate in according to their level on their id. Shou swipes a card from one of the elites to go to above level, gets caught. I might be wrong but he was the only guy who was either born and brought up completely underground. Idk if it's a webtoon or a novel. Any help is appreciated.

Releasing chapters once a month and that too so damn short - specially when you have a really long complicated plot to cover doesn't make one bit sense. I've seen manhwa/hua upload more pages per chapter with a deadline of 1 week which is not healthy but still. 2 weeks is a healthy timeline to upload a good enough chapter where some actual progress takes place instead of a couple of dialogues and Sebastian serving c-nt tho I'm not complaning.
it goes slowly and steadily for like 3 years and then BOOM *plot development* in ONLY a month *cough* 3 chapters. Then back to snail speed smut.
