Don't bother. This does not have a satisfactory ending. I read the novel.
Spoilers ahead kids.

He confesses to her that having a child was not a prerequisite for returning home, and that he just wanted to punish her for abandoning him and their child so he and the kid went through everything just to summon her specifically. They got a two for one when they summoned the guy as well and they hand him off to his fake fiance who then does "THINGS" to him since she only sees him as breeding stock. In the end he basically tells her he's never letting her go again and that she will stay there and have a kid with him and they'll always be together as "punishment". And she comes to the realization that she doesn't need to leave anymore because the original reason she even left him was to be with her mother before she died, and now that she has she actually doesn't have any reason at all to leave. So she's thrilled to stay and get "punished".
Genuinely forgot about that part, but yes. Seeing how she seems to instantly forget about it as well though I guess it's not a huge deal. Cause ya know, that makes sense or something. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
If she's willing to forgive him I'm not gonna get in the way, I think they're both a bit cuckoo for cocoa puffs tbh.
It's got some problems, but overall I like it. I'm presently on chapter 40 and I think I have 2 main issues.
One - They're falling for each other real fast with so few conversations between them. And I know that might not be a huge issue for people. It's not a "make or break" issue for me either when I take in the context of their individual circumstances. "He's the only one who showed her kindness/didn't believe the rumors about her." And for him, he saw her past and can genuinely see that she's got more going on than just the rumors say. But those kinds of things also leave a lot up to speculation and lead to the creation of an idealised version of somebody if you don't ACTUALLY take the time to get to know them. Not to mention on her side he actually WASN'T the only one who showed her any kindness because she had a designated saviour. (And yes, I understand Raymond was actually an asshole and he wasn't really a saviour, but SHE didn't know that all the way up until he killed her.) Realistically it makes more sense for her to have fallen in love with Raymond.
This brings me to my second point in that it sort of seems made up as we go along at times. An example being that in an earlier chapter she's speculating about whether or not Corelia could have been working for somebody. And the way it's written makes it sound like she's coming to that conclusion for the first time, or that she came to that conclusion after a long time of thinking about it later. But in chapter 40 she implies that not only did she know about it, but Ferdin knew about it and had a fairly active investigation looking into it even if it didn't land him with any answers. This also shouldn't be a translation error either since I am reading the officials. There are more instances of tiny mismatches like this, but frankly I'm too lazy to go scouting for other problems and "why bother?"
Other than that my issues are fairly minor. Pacing is a bit off. And while I side-eye Charon not knowing, I'm willing to overlook it considering he was young and abuse victims frequently feel like they can't talk about it. That dad though? HEAVY SIDE-EYE. Ain't no way he hasn't seen his daughter being blamed for everything from a stained dress to fucking manslaughter and he's nowhere to be seen? The fuq. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
fellow constructive yapper...
fair points tho.
sadly, the second point is a common thing that popped up in ropan releases after 2022, even considering the sources of some adaptations.
probably bandwagoning imo.
this one has an FMC with an alright attitude tho. too much insufferable protags in other manhwas recently TT
I just finished the novel main story and am about to start the epilogue and side stories. I really don't think the manhwa is going to do it justice. It's a good story, with a lot of focus on how trauma has lingering effects. And while overall a lot of their problems stem from a lack of communication, it is still going to end up seeming very shallow in the manhwa as compared to the novel because a lot of it comes down to internal monologue. Gi-Hyeon spends a lot of time internalizing his issues but thinks them out very thoroughly, while Yeon-oh is more explosive and frequently acts on his temper first but reflects on it later. This also causes them to make assumptions and cause issues for the other in different ways. But since they don't take the time to have a conversation in order to deeply understand the other, fearing they'll get hurt worse, the misunderstandings just pile up and deepen.

(Novel link for those interested)
Why y'all gotta post up 3 different versions of chapter 1 right off the bat? Go away. There's so many other stories left to be translated. Now we gonna have to wade through
chapter 1
01
chapter 1 (uncensored)
2
chapter 2 (uncensored)
Chapter 3
Chapter 2
3
Chapter 3
05
04
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
All these things getting posted out of order and having 3 different copies of it with 3 different translations is craziness and it's becoming too common.
I just saw someone post another fucking "Chapter 0" of this story. Y'all I PROMISE this story has coverage. I'm not trying to seem ungrateful, but for the love of all things held dear, it is already a herculean feat to try and sift through these chapters in order to read them in the right order. Stop uploading random ass chapters just for funzies.

I heard there's a novel for this. Does anybody have a link?
Just google search the title followed by novelupdate
Thank you. I looked on there with different titles and it wasn't working for some reason.
You have to create an account. Then the chapter numbers will show as hyperlinks
I have an account. It just wasn't showing up in the search even when I tried multiple different titles. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ It could have just been a temporary glitch.
Search it using the raw title.
