It has genuine tag of war between two semes at first.
Would prefer if a fourth character didn't appear, though Riku is what Megu needed badly. He needed something to justify rejecting either Senpai or Kanade.
Let's be real if that small girl got a talk with Megu first; telling him he likes Kanade, he'll surely make way for that girl to be with Kanade and will run to Senpai.
Which of course would be a completely different story lmao
I almost forgot that i’m reading yaoi and just shipping these 2 the whole time especially around chapter 10-11. I’ve seen more chemistry between them than between Kanade and Meguru. I couldn’t care less if Meguru ended up with his senpai.
CONSENT CONSENT CONSENT SO MUCH CONSENT IS BEAUTIFUL I like how they use the topic of adolescents and the confusion between love and sexual attraction The way the story smoothly talks about respect, maturity, and healthy relationships
Daaaamn, I definitely preferred Megu with his senpai. That would've been a much cuter, more equal, and drama-free relationship. I feel like the "~super-mature prince charming, too perfect for this world, with fangirls and an unexplained love~" and the "~haha so small, and dumb, and immature lolol~" dynamic is super annoying. Also, for some reason, I just couldn't like the childhood friend. Not that he's bad. I mean I didn't like him as the main love interest. I still read this from start to end though. I guess because it could be seen as kinda cute if you don't think about it much.
It's because the childhood friend FORCE his love on Megu. It's not an equal and pure love like between the senpai and his kohai. Megu is forced from the start and push himself like he's wrong, Kanade is not mature how Meguru think, Kanade is a coward that think it's better runaway from a discussion instead talk about the fact (a real fact) that a girl with same interests is a better partner. Sit with him and talk about your feelings. Nope. Runaway and Meguru think he's himself a shit. But why? It's the type of character we found in many BL stories and authors think they are charming and in the right way. In the reality, I think they haven't nobody love them. ( ̄へ ̄)
I don't care for Megu. He is too indecisive and unbelievably, naive about everything. He already had a starting point with his best friend so could have looked a little deeper and found an answer to whether or not he liked him. With his senpai in the beginning it was just, oh, my body responded so I must like him, right? Frickin' naive as hell. This sensei's stories and characters are so frustratingly, twisted and all over the place with the back and forth, all take and no give... I can't stand it!! Aye yai yai, ヽ(`Д´)ノ

I didn't like the MC friend from the beginning, he was just to push. But I like it in overall
