I will never EVER let this story go. I remembered waiting for the anime, each of the ova to come out, and even binged all of tsubasa reservoir chronicles and cardcaptor sakura to properly understand xxxholic when i was in middle school like 13-14 years ago. This story is dear to me and idc what ppl said abt the ending, i love the bittersweet approach for these kind of stories.

The eggs purpose is to remove the memories about Yuuko-san. All the Doumeki gets to inherit the egg, all waiting for the time where Watanuki is ready or, anytime at all that might require him to forget Yuuko. But alas, even after 100+ years, he choose to remember her.
I don't know what I should feel about everything.. still I was hoping there would be something like in xxxholic rou's first episode but I guess that was just unique to the anime...
Genuinely until now I still don't understand the purpose of the egg, I kinda understood but no really but the ending was not as painful as I thought it would be since I've long accepted it

Loved reading this while growing up. Hated how it ended/the direction the author went with. The art and story overall still holds though ヾ(☆▽☆)
