I will never pierce my ears again.
My septum piercing didn't hurt that much, just a shock of pain but it wasn't throbbing like the ears (the septum was a needle and the ears were with a gun, so that's why the ears hurt more probably. Never get pierced with a gun, always go to a tattoo shop thate pierces with needles).

I believe hand sanitizer would be okay, but it's not advisable to pierce at home as infection is possible. Wear gloves or at least make sure your hands are clean when doing this. If it's not your ears you're piercing I recommend not doing it at all. When I was in HS 3 girls pierced their belly buttons and all 3 got hellacious infections from it. 1 reply
Its not advised to pierce your ears if you have no experience because of ear infections but yeah using hand sanitizer should be okay. Rubbing alcohol is easier but honestly anything to disinfect ears works. 2 reply
Genuine question bcs idk... I bought the piercing kit but forgot the alcohol pad. I'm too lazy to go out to buy alcohol pad. I googled around and still no answer. I heard it will dried the skin and idk if that's a bad thing? It's for prepping the skin only, I won't use it for regular cleaning tho. So, yes or no?
