People always say to talk to someone, but growing up I had trust issues and couldn't talk to my parents about it because they won't take me seriously. So I just scribbled everything I felt into a notebook or rant to people on discord. It helps a bit knowing you "told" someone and takes some weight of your shoulders. reply
Humour? Laughing or smiling produces serotonin. Serotonin helps with various things such as digestion, sleeping (habits) , your well-being, etc.
tldr; serotonin is a mood booster.
You can use humour as a coping mechanism., just don’t fall into the bad side of it which is insensitive jokes, etc. reply
my only healthy coping mechanism is making a playlist on how i feel that day then put on headphones and blasting it. i usually lay down too. it helps me so try it if you want reply
I would say journaling in crying. The journaling can help you get your thoughts down so you can come back and review them in the crying relieves mental strain. These help me cope with a lot so I hope they help you. 1 reply
Try baking, that's what I do whenever I'm mad, stressed, bored, etc. This is great for when you want to get rid of pent-up emotions and energy because it takes a lot, especially if you make it from scratch. -i used to write in a journal. didnt matter how chaotic it became, as long as i wrote my thoughts down i calmed down a bit.
-taking a shower. it just cools you down and gives you time alone.
