I'm straight but i feel like yaoi/shounen ai has more flavor than shojo so i kinda feel you. Its basically just romance i dont think its fetishizing, its like if we were reading a shoujo/hentai but its two boys. as long as u dont fetishize real gay men its fine to fangirl over a yaoi/shounen ai couple! im straight i read yaoi i find it wayyy better then the romance you get with normal shoujo manga yanoo it just has a better plot. and the seme not constantly treating the uke like a national treasure like theyre glass like in shoujo. 2 reply
