Ok I have a genuine question, as someone who is bisexual and gender-fluid as In I see myself as he/she/they meaning I see myself as a woman and man (and in between or sometimes none) is it fetishizing for me to read BL? I also read GL but no one ever talks about it so but anyway I’m genuinely confused because people say it’s fetishizing gay men to like yaoi as a straight woman, but as someone who is a woman and a man is it wrong?(when I say BL I mean the whole category not just yaoi)
That’s like saying shoujo fetishizes straight people. It’s just a fictional story and while a lot of authors are women, there are also men who create yaoi content. Overall it’s a ridiculous claim because you can say it about anything, horror stories fetishise serial killers etc. 2 reply

Honestly, I use to be like you. I use to read yaoi manwhas all the time but now I barely do, I mainly read reincarnation and action manwhas now. So my only advice is, just try reading different kinds of genres, I use to think that action manwha is too much but now here I am completely obsessed with it 1 reply

honestly i feel the same, yaoi is completely useless yet i still read for god knows why - its a waste of time and i could be doing so much productive things in the meantime, literally all of my days are wasted on reading. i think you just need to find something that overpowers reading, maybe a hobby or get into cooking ion know but thats gonna b my...... reply
