As someone with parents who are mildly conservative they mostly ignore the fact I'm queer. I do both. I brush before breakfast, and then after breakfast, I just brush again and gargle some mouthwash.   reply

I usually wash before I eat breakfast, but you can do it afterward too. Honestly, it doesn't affect much. But never brush after eating acidic food or beverages because these acidic foods weaken tooth enamel, and brushing too quickly can remove the enamel.
