I really hate it when there is cheating in yaoi , the fuck i'll never enjoy no matter how steamy the sex scene is or whatever kind of logic the characters have for doing it.

rape is much more worse as it is a physical and emotional truamatic experience thhat can also ruin a persons future, futhermore, it is looked down upon by some members or cultures in society so people are afraid to come out and tell others that they are a victim of rape reply
On a physical and emotional level, rape is obviously worse, no questions asked. Rape can sort of make you broken most likely with some sort of PTSD left behind. It’s not exactly wrong to say the effects of being cheated on is milder than rape.

In my opinion reality or fiction do not matter- rape is a horrifing crime and when I read mangas with rape scenes in them (which are alot obviously) I always feel sad and disgusted... I don't undarstnd how people would prefer a mc that raped rather than one who cheated. 3 reply
The title of the question made me laugh but the actual question makes sense. In the fictional realm and yaoi in particular, my opinion is that both are equally bad. I've read some mangas where a character gets raped and thinks nothing of it, no psychological trauma at all and I'm sitting here like "WTF CALL THE POLICE!!" And in some cases, cheating...... reply
Rape is most definitely worse. It's like having you body stripped away from you for who knows how long. Cheating is bad too, but you'll end up getting over it after a few weeks, depending on how strong that love was. It honestly confuses me that this can even be asked, and that people legit thinks cheating is worst. I know there are different norms and standards in manga and real life, but DAMN there should be no comparison here!
