Well I just love reading Manga. Im not picky with genres and what matters is if the story is interesting.
But if u were to ask me to chose between Shoujo or Yaoi. I'd chose YAOI. Reason is, normal Romance tend to have a repetitive cycle. Loves a guy, shy, tsundere, besfriend likes guy or guy bestfriend likes you, mehhh~ BORING.

I mainly started reading yaoi because I was sick of the shoujo manga tropes with the weak-willed (either that, or just completely useless) female character, and the oppressive male character with no impulse control. Why do you like to read Yaoi? Personally I read it because in a sense it helps me escape reality and teaches life lessons in a sense. Not only yaoi other genre manga too and anime but lets just focus on yaoi for now yes (▰˘◡˘▰)
