Question

My partner said she needs space but doesn’t want to break up. She has been bad to me over the past few months. She promises me she’ll get better, but she always promises that. She has intense trauma that she needs to work through, is it bad for me to want to leave after being treated harshly repeatedly? She also deals with depression. It feels wrong to want to leave even though she’s going through it but it’s to the point it’s effecting me. I said that if you want this relationship to work you need to focus on getting better. To that she said It’s impossible for me to be better so soon. But what I’m asking is for her to at least have a plan and take initiative. I’m not asking for her to be suddenly “fixed” I have my own problems but I don’t take it out on her. All im asking is for her to just try. Any advice? I can go into further detail if more context is needed.
