Okay, there are people who read bl because of the fetish gay stuff. However, there are a bunch of people who just read the story because of plot, fluff, etc. Things in bl stories wouldn't happen, if it wasn't for the couple liking each other or being involve with each other. Same thing if it was Shojo, or any other romance story.

I mean, there's people on this site that are fine and there's no issue with them, but on the whole this is how things tend to be:
- excusing problematic content
- not holding authors and artists accountable
- pulling the "not all fujos" card to rid oneself of guilt without actually doing anything about the issue(s) in question
