honestly i feel the same, yaoi is completely useless yet i still read for god knows why - its a waste of time and i could be doing so much productive things in the meantime, literally all of my days are wasted on reading. i think you just need to find something that overpowers reading, maybe a hobby or get into cooking ion know but thats gonna b my...... reply
Idk about u,but i just get bored of it. After reading a thousand I'm not that into yaoi anymore,I still read it,but not obsessed. Maybe u should try other genres. reply
Let me give you some advice:
1. Set a time where you are NOT supposed to do it. For example, not reading yaoi after 9pm.
2. Slowly decrease the amount of times you do it. For example, if you read 6 hours a day then the next week read 5 hours a day and the next week 4 hours and so on.
3. Pick up a hobby or do something you like. For example, draw...... reply
It is a bit too difficult to just suddenly quit.
I think by cutting off all yaoi at once, it is a bit too self-punishing a method.
I think you should schedule when you want to read yaoi everyday, or set a limit to how many yaoi and manga you read a day.
