Usually what makes me enjoy yaoi is when the plot isn't so shallow. When the plot, cliche, but the author is able to build around it with detail and make it a different experience from the previous cliche plot. I want depth in everything. I don't really like old school yaoi but I dig the twisted plots of the webtoons, and I suppose Harada for the Machiavellian semes (but would never want to be in that kind of relationships irl). reply
A good story line and sex scene but if the story line sucks to me I absolutly won't finish I don't care if it gets good at the end if in the begining i think its suck, I won't finish it. For me, it's because there's more romance in yaoi rather than shoujo. Sometimes, shoujo makes women to be weak and in need of help all the time. It gets really annoying. Not all women are like that. Plus, yaoi has more fluffy romance that doesn't involve a human incapable of thinking on its own. 2 reply
