why kids shouldnt read yaoi (13-)
i made a topic like this, but i got into an argument with some kid about why its "okay to read yaoi at age 10" so here it goes.
even if youre 10, 11 or 12 and think you have the maturity to look at this stuff, u dont.
yall in MIDDLE SCHOOL. youre young and impressionable. most of these kids havent even been educated on proper sex ed, and they look at this and think these depictions of gay sex are REAL.
they think this is how consent works, or this is how a relationship should work. fine, watch porn, but dear god dont look at yaoi as real depictions of gay sex, or just sex in general.
these kids are the same type of kids that would walk up to a gay man and asks if hes the uke. istg. theyre the type to proudly call themselves fujoshis (in the context of being obsessed with gay men and gay sex, not just liking bl. no one likes that nickname anyways lol)
i didnt discover yaoi till my late freshman year old highschool, and even then, i was shocked to learn it exists. and there are 5th grades enthusing about how horny it makes them?????? stop it fr.
i mean if you want to read bl so bad, at least read healthy depictions of it. at that point, its just romance between two guys. but looking at junjou romantica and thinking thats how gay relationships work.............
Eh, I think its fine as long as they are mature enough to handle it but bottom line is, I dont believe that someone is mature enough until they're at least 13 years old. Like if ur 12 hanging around here, maybe you are mature enough but I doubt it. If ur younger than 13, stay tf off cuz you still count as a kid. Learn what gay sex and sex in genera...... reply
