Is there a special reason why you read Yaoi (shounen ai included)?
Why do you like to read Yaoi? Personally I read it because in a sense it helps me escape reality and teaches life lessons in a sense. Not only yaoi other genre manga too and anime but lets just focus on yaoi for now yes (▰˘◡˘▰)

It's because it's a great escapism especially since tv has bored me in the last couple of years. It's the same reason I read romance novels and write myself. It's a hobby. reply
I read almost all genre, depending on my mood. I love that I´m able to experience so
many different feelings through manga.
In romance manga, I don´t care if it´s female x male, female x female or male x male. The characters and the story are more important to me.
But the topic is yaoi.

i think, as a queer girl, it's just nice to see queer relationships portrayed so positively (for stories that are more innocent obv LOL). i also do like that they show that men can experience feelings that people can consider "girlish". like...breaking them out of the stereotype of tough, emotionless guys who can't experience something like having ...... 1 reply

i started dabbling in shounen ai when i was a bit younger than now (like 2 years ago) and i liked it, so i kept reading it.
