being called a fetishizer
girls/nonbinaries that read yaoi/shonen-ai. i'm sure you've dealt with people calling you fetishizers online. even when i prefer hella innocent, fluffy, wholesome shonen-ai's and never associate BL with real life, I still have to deal with this. for those who read the more raunchy content, i'm sure it's worse. do you agree with this critique, and if not, how do you respond to it?
LMFAO I DONT GIVE A FUCK. like people that just throw insults like that aren’t worth ur time ignore them cause they just be attention seekers Just cause we read smut DOES NOT MEAN we associate that with real life or get horny over it :-: reply
I bet "fetishize" is the most used word in this website, ngl. it's easy to call someone out as a fetishizer without elaboration here. so fucking easy. never been called one, but I'd deal with it by merely cancelling out that overused response. I'd rather focus on attention-worthy criticisms from users, preferably from mlm people for obvious reasons...... reply
I tell them im gay (bc i am) and that i read yuri and gl aswell and if that doesnt shut them up i hit them with the "it's ok to say your homophobic" just to get them to fuck off reply
It pisses me off how they misuse the word, they just find a new word and run with it, they don't even know the proper meaning and to be clear I'm not saying that there aren't any fetishizers, but the amount of times I've seen someone bash someone for the things they read and they ARE NOT fetishising anything is too much 1 reply
Just ignore them.
Read what you want to read.
People will always say something. Might as well just enjoy reading.
No need to respond to every comment thrown to you.
Delete them, so you won't see them.
Block the users. Delete the comments.
Don't be bothered.
We're just all sinners anyway. reply
