Hmm~ I think how I would do it is I would try to make the feelings mutual without being too obvious. In a sort of vanilla way. I'd only do this for a very short period of time in order to just increase my chances but not waste my time. I'd confess in order to get it off my chest and it could turn out positive or negative.
