Did you ever read a story and didn't react the way the story is made for you to respond to?
I read some stories and didn't receive it the way everyone else was. I feel that way about certain stories where I think to myself "this is awful" but then I start to think about what I'm reading and then I start to think "Why tf did the author have to make this scenario" of course they did cuz the wanted to, but why should I really feel sorry or care about this shit(especially about certain stories whose context makes me think even more about how inappropriate it is, and wonder even more why tf it's in the plot), so, in the end, I probably drop it eventually cuz I get annoyed reading these continuous dialogues, arcs, or sub-plots that try to sell me the idea of a certain feeling, but personally I don't vibe with it.
I was laughing all throughout Ghost of the Fireflies and it wasn't even funny, it's a heartbreaking story about two children slowly dying during the war. I didn't think it was sad to watch, the concept was sad, but the movie was boring.
Watch me get grilled in the replies for this I just know it 2 reply
