I'm sad (vent)
My birthday (March 1) went by and literally no one in my family even acknowledge me or even wish me. It hurt even more when my mom showed me some stuff she bought, which were pretty expensive, but turns out that was a graduation gift for my cousin. And we didn't do our traditional celebration at midnight.. I looked forward to this year bc I got some pretty flowers last year.. I know my parents are having a hard time with money, but they could have wished me and just gave me hugs and kisses..ugh. But another thing is, when my brother was my age, everyone in the family would plan a party for him. All the aunts, uncles and cousins would be there. It's not fair..
First off, happy late birthday.
Secondly, they may have forgotten the date if they were busy. If they usually celebrate your birthday, then it shouldn't be something like they just decided not to this year.
Your parents don't seem inherently bad if it's traditional for you all to celebrate your birthday, so maybe ask them about it.
It might help...... reply
