So, a little while ago I had this discussion with my brother, as we're both working adults now. There are this social stigma and peer pressure around us (unlike when we're both still young ) that the normal thing to do is to get married. If not, you're weird, or something is wrong with you. But honestly ? seriously? will you ?
I've been married for 24 years, together for a total of 28. Met him when I was 20, he was 18. I'm certainly thankful that I found the man I did, and have been happily married with 2 crazy wonderful adult kids. BUT, if I could have a second life (not a do-over, cuz I love how my life turned out), I would not put so much focus on getting married. ...... reply
