Amber is wonderfully written and I adore her. She's a lot more complex than people give her credit for and her development is so beautiful.
Basically Amber strives to fill her grandfathers shoes by keeping the outriders alive, and as a result she ended up having to mature pretty quickly. When we see her in the comic she's fairly young and clearly...... reply
