Should straight men be allowed to play roles of queer characters?
As always when a new bl series begins trending the topic whether it's fair or not for straight men to get the roles of gay characters gets brought up. Given now that heated rivalry has been out people have been attacking the actors with claims of "Queer baiting" and that an openly gay man should've gotten the role rather than the current actors.
I don’t think we should be knowing the sexualities of actors at all, it’s none of our business. If they want to share it they can, but they shouldn’t feel pressure to. But it does make me really uncomfortable when directors replace a minority character with someone from a majority. So idk. But yeah if they can play the role, let them play th...... reply
