Why are cis straight white men obsessed with Japan?
Genuinely js asking out of curiosity bcs majority of ppl I know irl who are OVERLY obsessed with 'Japan' and 'Japanese culture' are cis, straight, white men. (I put them in quotation marks bcs their obsessed with Japan is usually a very misunderstood or fetishised version of Japan.) Like, what about their perception of Japan makes it so enticing to them?
This is coming from a hafu who looks more Asian than Arab btw so this is js from my personal experience with them
I'd say everyone and their grandmas are obsessed with Japan but since we're only talking about cis white men, I think it's because they're horny as fuck and have yellow fever. They also think asians are submissive (esp Japanese women) and they have a superiority complex that just because they're white, these Japanese women will try lick their feet ...... reply
