I think transphobia in this community just really solidifies the fact that gay relationships are just a fetish to some of you for me. Why does the idea of a man having a pussy cause you discomfort? I've seen this mentioned on here under the very few yaois where mc/ml has a cunt and on twitter recently under a thread about making male characters have vaginas/making them trans.
if you are so bothered by the idea of a man having a pussy, I genuinely think you need to look inward and discover if there's really a deeper reason behind *why* you feel that way. The thread I saw on twitter wasn't just expressing their discomfort—they were calling it wrong and disgusting for a man to have anything other than a penis.
If you think an author should just write a straight fic because they wrote a story where one of the men have a vag instead of a dick, you need to do some soul searching!!! It's even worse if you yourself are a woman/have a vagina—if you think a mlm relationship is no longer a mlm relationship because they can't sword fight and are instead sword and sheath, you are a transphobic weirdo!!
This really depends on the story in question. Oftentimes, it's not actually a matter of trans representation, but more about a BL/Yaoi author wanting to avoid the physical aspect of a gay relationship and instead drawing a gay man with a vagina as a way to make it as "straight" as possible. This is a huge problem that people don’t talk abt enough. Many people are gay or allies but don’t support queerness. I’ve heard someone say “you’re gay not queer” and that sums it up. When something doesn’t align with strict gender perception they don’t support it reply
