Opinions on piracy

So for me I'm ALL IN
E-books, manga, manwha, movies, shows, games, dlcs, anything I can get my grubby little hands on you name it.
But whenever I mention I pirate shit someone acts like I just stole cheese from an anorexic mouse. I've seen some people on here have negative views one piracy (bit ironic but eh) and irl its always a mixed bag. Like they're ok with movie piracy but when I told some mf to just pirate the god damn Thomas the tank engine because I know these mfs around me will.never get a job they look at me like I just pissed on baby jesus.

I know I am probably biased to this as I was built on piracy from a young age and I personally don't see it as a big deal but I know some.people see it as a big deal so just want to see what peoples opinions are
