i prefer watching anything in the ORIGINAL voice, bc that's what i feel their OG voices would sound like. definitely, so many dubs are good, but something about original remains better. maybe bc if they adapted it from manga, there's a certain way you speak certain dialogues which can only be grasped by the native. so, OG language with subs is what...... reply
i just like to watch shows how they were originally made, in their original language. japanese for anime, chinese for donghua, and english for english shows, etc
except childhood anime like doraemon lol i grew up watching the dubbed version on tv.
also english is my third language and i hate english listening, i need subs most of the times. watch...... reply
Sub because after a few anime of hearing the same 3 voice actors over and over again with poor expressiveness and seemingly no range, I want to rip my hair out. If I sound pretentious, it’s because I am.
I like studio Ghibli dubs tho GAWSH Howl pendragon could hit it any day and I 100% understand why I had a crush on Haku as a kid after rewatchi...... reply
Dub, I already need subtitles for anything in English, so having stuff in a different language + having to read subtitles to understand it is just annoying. Idc if dub sounds bad it’s just easier for me lol reply
Depends a lot. I love OG voices but there are some german/english VA's that do an amazing job. I even startet or rewatched shows bc of specific VA's. Dub and sub are both great and dog sh*t just depends who took on the project reply
