Were y'all bullied for liking anime?

It was kind of iffy, I was pretty shameless about it so it was known by p much everyone that I was like a "nerd"/had "loser" hobbies, but like I wasn't really bullied for it. I was kinda teased for it cuz it was uncool at the time, but I was part of the louder(?) crowd in school so I didn't really have it too bad, there were just the snide comments......   reply

Nah. Looking back I had a bunch of ppl from my past who supported my love for anime and manga: gave me recs and let me borrow their volumes, showed me how to draw the style, anime club events, I even got to be club pez. Folks even gave me recs on BLs when I started getting into it. The schools I were at had normie kids who may not know much about a......   reply

Anime was pretty normalized at my high school. We even had an anime club. Though I feel it's because people at my grade were all pretty obsessed with having a high gpa. The higher your gpa, the better your reputation. Making it top 10% out of the whole grade was something to boast about. And some of these high gpa kids were into anime, so you could......   reply
