I know I often mistake thirst for hunger. Are you drinking enough water? The general recommendation for active people is half your body weight (lbs) in fluid oz. (Ex: if I weigh 120lbs, I need to drink 60floz of water a day to stay hydrated). Also, aim for more protein heavy meals.
