Dislikes
Are comment dislikes a big deal to you guys? Do you guys get upset just seeing at least one dislike on your comments?
I remember there was a time people would complain here about the other questions section, how it seemed like someone was just disliking every comment because people would see that most of the comments had at least one dislike, and my reaction to that was like what's the big deal? It's just one dislike as the comments would just get one dislike.
Also are dislikes really a big of a deal or should they mean anything?
Sometimes people use someone's dislike count to delegitimize that person, weaponizing their dislike count against them, poking fun at them, and I couldn't help but wonder why impose that dislikes mean shit? Especially to the point where someone is no longer valid, and making fun of them for it. For me I see this as cliquey, bully behavior. Why do people seem so proud in implementing that?
I don't really think much of it. Actually it's weirder if my comment got so many likes but zero dislike. You can say drowning a newborn baby in a boiling hot oil is bad and someone, somewhere, SOMEHOW, disagree with you.
Plus most of the time it's probably just people clicking the wrong button cause that happen to me pretty often. reply
