personally i like when ukes don't look like they'd break in half if a leaf fell on them but a lot of older fujos/fudans i know HATE bigger ukes. idk i like when the seme is bigger than the uke tho but only when its like a reasonable amount or when the uke is buff but the seme is buffer BUT there are exceptions
nobody on here reads enough older BL to realize frail and feminine ukes were never as common as people make it seem. there's a smaller one and a bigger one quite often, yes, but what you describe was not the norm 1 reply
as long as the artstyle is to my liking I don't really care whether the bottom or top is twinky or buff. personally I like anything cute, cute twink bottom, cute buff bottom, cute twink top, cute buff top ლ(´ڡ`ლ) reply
like both—buff ukes and buff semes, or even twink ukes or Twink seme ; I can appreciate all of them and I’m not picky. Usually, though, you can tell just by looking at a buff character that he’s going to be the uke or at an twink character—it feels like they often follow a specific pattern, lol. Trad, but to me it really depends on the art style. I prefer pretty ukes but some artists take it too far to where it's comical and distracting - conversely I think a more masculine uke can work if it's executed well. reply
