According to a new study, adulthood starts at 32
There’s a new study that was just released that says our brains a fully develop at age 32 (it used to be said it was 25).
Five Eras of Brain DevelopmentChildhood: Birth to age 9 Adolescence: Age 9 to 32 (refining networks and wiring) Adulthood: Age 32 to 66 (stable architecture) Early Aging: Age 66 to 83 Late Aging: Age 83 onward
And I think it makes sense. Thinking back on some of the things I read and enjoyed back in my late teens/early 20s and if I’m honest, I can’t go back to reread. They don’t appeal to me anymore. I’m a lot more cognizant of my limits. What I can and cannot stomach and how far I can read/watch something before I need a break.
