Has anyone(thats struggles with depression to be specific) ever feel like a wave of sadness just out of nowhere? Like you're just watching a video or hanging out doing anything, and out of nowhere you feel like crying, or your chest feels heavy??? I've just been struggling with my depression and I don't get why, I'm eating properly, and go to bed in a reasonable hour, I journal and stuff, and take care of myself How do you guys deal when u feel like that and u start having this passive suicidal ideation Thi is so dumb : Also don't tell me to go get therapy, I am
this is exactly what depression is. everything could be going well in ur life yet you’re still feeling as shitty as before.
every two weeks i feel like im getting better and then i get shot 7362818 times by a wave of depression. 1 reply
yeah it always hits me like 2 weeks of happiness and suddenly a wave of depression and suicidal ideation come back like high tides
me personally I just cry at night and go about my day as usual the next day. repeat this until it's gone (results vary)

I'm not diagnosed with anything but I've feeling "depressed" for over a decade now.
I get a similar feeling. The best way I can describe it: Could be doing anything (It has not happen while I lay at bed doing nothing so I think that's relevant) and a thought comes FAST and everything is, suddenly, pointless and my life is a waste.

Sometimes therapy isn't all you need. No amount of talking about or understanding of your feelings will help a depressive disorder. People conflate being sad with depression when in reality they are nothing alike.

I think yeah it's normal to feel a wave of sadness out of blue when you're in depression. In my case i just burst out crying out of nowhere for no absolute reason.. And i just locked myself in my room with lights off cuz i just wanted to disappear in the dark. I was 13 at a time... I guess for a starter, keep your mind distracted. Do something that...... reply
