a friend of mine said that her bf has access to their cctv system in their house. the house that her bf doesn't even live in, and a home to her other relatives. she seems fine with it though im not sure if her family knows about it so there's that… but what really bothered me is how controlling that felt. like why am i being monitored in my own house ??? do people actually watch their bf/gf through their cctv if they're not physically together? or am i just too single for that shit? what do you think?
damn as a chronically single girl i assure you that these shits are extremely creepy....and my skin just crawls by thinking that someone is constantly watching me....

I mean keeping all the creepiness aside, isn't your friend wrong for exposing her family to unwanted surveillance.

I personally think its weird, of course there's jo way for me to fully judge the situation because I dont know those people, but applying this to the relationship im in would be too tiring and anxiety endorsing. But also if her parents dont know about it then that can be considered stalking, that is if the house is her family's and not hers.

people need privacy and when you've got this feeling of being watched it fucks with your mental health.. it's part of the reason why these younger generations are so mentally unwell they're paranoid of being posted as a meme on tiktok. there is no way in hell that the idea of constantly being watched won't fuck up her mental health at some point.
