I am gonna be turning 19 in a couple of days and I started reading mangas since I was 12. I think it's fine as long as you keep it pg with shonen ai's. Some yaoi mangas have censorship as well where they do it but don't show the full act which I think is also fine. Let's be for real, it's the internet. You're gonna come across it eventually.
