just wanna vent a lil bit and I have bad English so bear with me
I always dislike it when people think "this top is worse than this top" just because the top has pushover mc, the mc who let things slide, so his wrongdoings aren't really obvious. And then they compare this top to other top, who has mc who literally dislike what he did and complaining about it and then the top went thru heart wenching chasing arc, begging and crying okay. So people think this top is worse than the top who got easily "forgiven" by the mc.
But I personally have different opinion, I'd rather read black/red flag tops going thru regret arc after doing so many questionable thing (obviously, they're gonna be end game anyway, so at least) i wanna see author telling us this is wrong, this top needs emotional torture (or even physical lol) — and then after that, his relationship get better with the mc.
Rather than reading top who's constantly doing unhinged things, make the mc cry, and traumatized but mc just "Whatever, he's not that bad, I like him anyway" he got angry inwardly, but he can't get mad because "well my top is crazy" and the readers will this top is better than the top who went thru hell??? Just because the bottom is a pushover stupid schizophrenic????
For me it's better to went thru the consequences, than not going thru it at all.
What about you if you wanna add or share your thoughts? Dont answer with bullshit like "I'd rather not read both" because this isn't a question for people who dislike reading toxic BL
For me, it really depends on why the top behaves the way he does toward the uke (or others). Some of their behavior I can understand, while others are just being assholes.
For example, I can understand Minhyung, the top from Dear Teddy Bear, but not Jaekyung from Jinx.
And honestly, I don’t really like the MC’s reactions in either situation e...... 1 reply
