I won't say she's my favorite, but the one manga artist I'd like to meet is Kiyoko Arai, the author of Beauty Pop.

Ok, so I’m the type that doesn’t mind spoilers. I can’t imagine how stressful my life would be if I lived in fear that someone might “spoil” something for me if I am not fast enough to read it/watch it/ etc.
So my question arises from that thought, can you really blame someone for “spoiling” something that has been around for years? As an example, a lot of people are just watching the Fruits Basket remake, so they *dont* want to be “spoiled”, but the manga ended in 2006, the new anime is going to adapt the whole thing, meaning a lot of those manga-only secrets will be no more. In my very personal opinion I don’t think people should get angry if someone “spoils” something for them that has been around for 20 years. I get if you don’t want to know who dies in the latest episode of x hot series, or book, but to b*tch and moan that people are “spoiling” stuff that’s been around a long time?

All my cats are former strays. Right now I have 7!
The last 3 ( Xingke, Marble & Fatboy)we rescued last July when my neighbors made such a fuzz about the kittens meowing that they unceremoniously kicked out momma cat and in her panic she left her babies behind. Later she came for them but she took them under a car in the alley where they ran the risk of getting runned over. Sadly we made the decision to take the babies away from her in order to save them from being runned over. One of the babies ended up dying and we found a good home for another but we kept the remaining 3.
The other 4 have varying degrees of stories.
Tiki ( my oldest, about 10 yrs.)-one Sunday morning my brother comes in "there's a cat under the house and I think she has kittens!" She didn't, but since we always have the door open she waltzed right in and went under the bed. We felt bad kicking her out. I think she was an indoor cat before because she wouldn't go out even with the door open and when I got her fixed the doctor said she had never had kittens even though she was about 2 yrs. old
Nikita-(6 yrs. old)- We found her under the hood of my brother's car. She snuck in when he went to play soccer at a park.
Eikichi- Some neighbor brought this cat from her neighborhood when she moved because there was a dog that would attack him. He was left outside so he made his way over to my place and didn't leave.
Shion- my mom started feeding what she thought was a very pretty female cat. Ended up being a very pretty male. He's very skittish, almost feral.
Felix- I used to feed as a stray until one day he came in limping and when I took him to the vet it was found out that he'd been shot. His paw was broken and after that he became my cat. He went MIA last March.
Others I've had and lost, Ikki (my 1st cat), Kyo( my 2nd cat), Gregorio aka Goyo(aka Haineko), Felix and Kiba

I got the idea for this question since I’ve been reading so many comments on Jinx.
To be clear, I’ve never read the series, so I cannot make any informed opinions on it, but it did give me the idea to ask, who has been the worst, most toxic love interest you’ve ever seen?

Originally I was going to leave it as only the worst ML in BL, but decided to open the question to any love interest.

Additionally, only characters that are supposed to be taken seriously as love interests.
What I mean is, for example I don’t think Killing Stalking or Placebo are supposed to be considered romances.

Now, for the worst love interest I’ve ever encountered in any story, hands down it has to be Richard Tarten from the Passion sequel. This character is nasty, and the romance pissed me off to no end. If anyone has read the novels, I think many would agree.

Reading all the comments on Jinx has given me so many topic ideas, and I’m curious to know some of your thoughts and opinions about redemption.

I see a lot of people saying ML is beyond redemption or that even with a redemption arc, they still won’t forgive him. I get that, and I don’t read Jinx, so I don’t have strong feelings one way or another.

Anyway, it got me thinking, a while back I watched a Turkish dizi called Istanbullu Gelin, and in that series, the main character’s best friend marries a guy that has lots of issues. He has anger management issues and one time he beat her silly. She eventually convinces him to seek therapy and he starts going, but initially he’s not taking it seriously. His wife finally divorces him, but she’s pregnant so he’s not completely out of her life. Long story short, in the end he continues going to therapy and redeems himself, but she doesn’t get back with him. Both of them moved on and were better partners to their new loves due to their past relationship.

I liked that resolution. A character was redeemed and part of that redemption was due to a love interest, but in the end they had hurt each other too much to function as a couple.

Seeing as most stories have redemption arcs that end up with the original couples, would you prefer to read more stories where a horrible character initially starts their redemption arc due to their current love interest, but in the end they each find new loves? Or keep the status quo and have a “love conquers all” type story?

Like I said, I don’t read Jinx, but from what I can see in the comments I think something like ML realizing he’s been shit and starting his redemption due to his feelings for MC, but then in the end after all he’s done to MC each of them finding new loves would work better. You can forgive someone and still not want a romantic relationship with them anymore.

Especially when many times a potential second love interest is introduced, and usually that second love would be a better choice anyway.

Opinions?

Sometimes it happens that I’ll be watching something or reading something and I just become invested in the couple.
Like I find them super cute and don’t get tired of them.

So, who are your favorite couples?
They can be from any media (books, comics, live action, movies, heck even a celebrity couple).

Here are mine:

Ceylin & Ilgaz from Yargı (Turkish series)
Manelik & Kelvin from La Casa de los Famosos (A Big Brother type of reality show)
Albus & Scorpius from HP and the Cursed Child ( Harry Potter play)
Ilay & Tae from Passion (webcomic)

Hey there, anyone fans ( or maybe just like watching) Criminal Minds or Law & Order: SVU?

If you do, who are your favorite character(s)?

For me in Criminal Minds I like pretty much all the characters. The only ones I actively disliked was Kate (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Gideon.
But favorites are Reid, Prentiss & Rossi.
As for SVU, I don’t really like Benson, but favorites are Carísi, Barba, Lake.

What about you?

I personally prefer anything uncensored or only mildly censored. Not a fan of lightsabers, but when it’s a colored comic, at least you can differentiate what’s what, but in black and white, there have been many times when there is nothing there.

I don’t get people who prefer censored, like what is the point of reading porn then?

And no, I don’t particularly find dicks appealing, but I do prefer having uncensored sex scenes in my porn.

So censored or uncensored?

Honestly I’ve read mostly BL novels, but not all.
These are the ones I’ve read ( that I can remember)

There is one I read which I cannot for the life of me remember title, but the plot was this:
Guy keeps having sex with another guy in a dream world. I also remember that the Uke’s older brother disappeared when he was six in the ocean. Later MC meets his brother. He’d been kidnapped by the demon lord or whatever evil entity they were battling and he’d been this guys sex slave since his kidnapping. Also brother and bad guy end up dying together.

—One of the Boogiepop novels
—Trinity Blood
—I want to bite (Kami Tsukitai)
—Love Water (Girou no Koimizu)
—No. 6
The novel that started me on web novels was
—The King’s Avatar (Quan zhi gao shou) and sequel
—Grandmaster of demonic cultivation (Mo Dao Zu Shi)
I tried reading —Solo Leveling, but didn’t care much for it.
—Social Outcast (aka Social Temperature)
—Nurturing the Hero to Avoid Death (Shinitakunai node Eiyuu-sama wo Sodateru Koto ni Shimasu)
— The White Cat’s Divine Scratching Post (I stopped reading it)
—Glory [E-sports]- currently reading
—Speak the Truth ( read on Tapas)

In my queue I have Omniscient Reader (Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint)
— How to Survive as a Villain (To Be or Not to Be)

So what have you read?

Ah Shojo

Who hasn’t read a Shojo? Sometimes something you think wouldn’t be a Shojo ends up being one. For example X/1999. It’s a Shojo, a very dark and bloody one.
Now for the stereotypical Shojo we all think about, I don’t really read it. I hate reading about some stupid beyond reason girl holding up with the unbelievably hot, super smart guy. In reality, a guy like that would not be interested in a girl like that unless all he wants from her is sex.
That is not to say in hate all stupid or shy Shojo heroines. Surprisingly, I like Tohru from Fruits Basket. She’s stupid, unrealistically kind yet it kinda makes sense why Kyo fell for her. But! My ultimate favorite Shojo heroine has to be Kiri from Beauty Pop. The story itself is not something to write home about but she carries it well. She’s unruffled, doesn’t care about what others think about her and just goes along at her own pace. Haruhi from Ouran is similar to Kiri in some ways, but I didn’t care for her romance with Tamaki. I would have much rather liked her to end up with Hikaru. Her ending up with Tamaki was such an obvious move that it disappointed me. I guess Hana from My Heavenly Hockey Club is actually more similar to Kiri, but I have not read the whole thing so I don’t know how she reacts to romance.
Some of my faves shojos are:
Natsume’s book of friends
Geneimuso
Beauty Pop
Fruits basket and Fruits basket another
NG life
RG Veda
Yumekui Kenbun
Game x Rush
I’m sure there are others but I can’t remember them right now,

about question
I don’t usually like omegaverse for various reasons, but every time I read an omegaverse I see people in the comments asking for babies.

In my case I don’t care to see them have kids and I do get a little bothered that the consensus almost seems to be that just because they can have kids, they should.

So what are your opinions on omegaverse couples having kids?

I personally don’t care for that plot point, but I might be a minority.

about draw yaoi
So, I don’t like babies/kids and avoid stories with them like a plague. Most of the time they kids are portrayed as insufferable, thus making whatever I’m reading/watching not enjoyable, but I found myself being pulled in by Our Sunny Days, even when there is a baby present.

As of right now I’m not bothered by the baby in Our Sunny Days because she’s literally just there. She isn’t being a hindrance.

It got me thinking, what is the one series you didn’t think you’d read or enjoy because it’s not something you usually read and you ended up liking/enjoying?
