How do people like Yuri and hate Yaoi?
Same with liking Yaoi and hating Yuri as well lol. I'm 100% curious
For me they're both peak in their own ways.
And honestly first of all they are literally siblings idk why are SOME of the ppl in these two communities r so toxic towards each other idk,,
Tbh I absolutely love both of them so much I cherish them with my heart
I need a genuine explanation for this in some way. Let me know (⌒▽⌒)

Is there anyone here (preferably 28–29+ years old) who enjoys discussing what they read in a more thoughtful and in-depth way? If so, feel free to DM me

With our activity lists getting wiped a little bit back, it took about two weeks for mine to come back and when it did my 'reading' list was entirely gone. I thought it would come back at a later time but it just hasn't yet. I also noticed that my 'want to read' list is a lot smaller than it used to be, and plus I checked it just now and like 60% of titles in that pile are things that I previously marked as read so where did my *actual* want to read/reading pile go?? Siiigh.... that's like 200+ titles missing now

Hi there!!! I've recently got a problem where all my already read and reading manhwa disappeared from this platform.. and i really wanna find this yaoi I've read a few times, if i remember correctly it's about a guy who's a fotographer and other one idk, he takes nasty photos or gets them idk and makes the other guy do s*xual thing so he doesn't leak the photos to his family. I remember one scene from like the middle where they drive somewhere (i think the non photographer needs to work in town and the other guy makes him have a vi*rator all the time in, and later on they go on secluded road and he makes him sit on a di*do and then drives through a bumpy road) PLEASE does anyone know the name of this manga (i think it was black and white i don't really recall)

I’m sad
I am soooo heartbreakingly sad
In fact I’m incredibly sad to the point I can’t see the bright positive light of the future days to come.
I need recommendations for something utterly gut wrenching, traumatic, and just something so terribly sad that IM gonna think about how *that* story was so sad and not how i’m feeling sad af.

Have y'all ever read a story on here, and while listening to music, it feels like that song was made specifically for that story?
Personally for me it was when I just caught up with the manhwa "A child who looks like me" and I was listening to X Room by Xdinary Heroes and realized the lyrics and mood of the song matched up scarily perfectly with the story.
But enough about me, I wanna know what you guys think!

What's been pissing me off recently (and since forever) is some people's inability to hold mangakas accountable for things that *they've* written in their manga. And while I'm going to talk about manga/anime, this could hold true to korean/chinese media too, its just that I feel more comfortable critiquing Japanese media, as I grew up consuming it my whole life, and am half Japanese.
This is particularly true when it comes to the anime community, which in itself is a bit toxic, because so many western fans refuse to hold Japanese mangakas to the same standard as they would to any other normal person. They often use excuses like '[Mangaka] didn't know any better' or 'But in Japan, they don't know about it' or even the god-forsaken noncey line 'But in the Japan, the legal age of consent is-'. The last one pisses me off the most, because of how stupid it is. The legal age of consent in a country should not be the cutoff line for an adult person's age of attraction, and I'm sick of people arguing so. (Esp when grown ass middle aged men talk abt 'the youngest theyll go is 18' but we all know they only say that bcs the law doesnt let them go any younger)
Of course, you cant expect to hold people of another country to the exact same standards of your own, but this is about geniune common fucking sense. Mangakas are usually grown adults, and shall be treated as such. They do not need to be babied by anyone just of their ethinicity. They know damn well and good in this day and age when they write a piece of fiction that includes racist/sexist undertones, or scenes that are outright fucking nuts. They are, once again, GROWN ADULTS and can complete their own research to know if what they are writing is problematic.
This isnt about a particular mangaka, manga or anime, but just a buildup of annoyance. It also doesnt help when the manga and anime industry are built to protect predators, and even allow them to continue creating manga under pseudonyms, despite knowing that the person is a convicted criminal.
And no, you cannot 'separate the art from the artist' when art is an extension of the artist and a form of their self expression, therefore reflecting their own personal beliefs into their artwork. Examples of this are when you watch an old hollywood movie and find pro-isreali propoganda in it. Or even a modern one.

Hello!
I wrote a bunch of notes in the little section that shows up when you save a story. I wrote them for Blue Lock, a detailed paragraph description for each chapter I read, for about 15 chapters (in the three hundreds). However, not only were all my notes gone, it doesn't even show where I last left off. I used my notes as a way to remember, and I am very disappointed and concerned about this; Blue Lock is such an important manga to me and all my work is gone. If someone knows what to do, that would be great. Any words of advice help.
