Tbh I know why. Most girls are straight so they prefer to see hot men rather than hot or cute girls in media. It's fine. We all have our tastes. Oh, I know what you're talking about! THAT Chinese novel?! Yeah, I really like the author! She does a good job writing psychological books! Too bad Chinese censorship laws are very strict. And it doesn't help that the entire novel is MTL. It's CLEARLY written that MC and ML should be together! ;) reply

Like the other person, said, you need to be waaaay more specific than that. So many Chinese novels are MTLs and have bad translation. For famous CN BL (I assume it's bl?) authors, the one I think off the top of my head is Priest. reply
I'm also a crammer but ngl none of the fancy tricks ever worked for me. What I do is:
-read the material then explain it to myself again like I'm teaching myself
-highlight/underline important stuff if you have a written copy
-write down important terms then their summarized meaning (A - summarized meaning of A in a single sentence) after reading ...... reply
